The Pravasi ID Card is the single stop entity for a Non-Resident Keralite (NRK) to connect with the Kerala Government. This multi-purpose photo identity card entitles every NRK to avail all services and facilities offered by NORKA Roots, now and in the future. The Pravasi ID Card comes with an add-on of Personal Accident Insurance coverage of up to a maximum of Rs. 4 Lakhs. The card has a validity of 3 years.
 

Benefits

Norka ID Card holders will be eligible for Personal Accident Insurance coverage of Rs. 4 Lakhs and up to a maximum of Rs. 2 Lakhs for permanent/ partial disability.
 

Eligibility:

    • Age 18-70 years
    • You should be a Pravasi residing or working abroad with a valid passport and visa for at least 6 months.
 

Documents Nneded:
 

Before applying, make sure that all the required documents are scanned and prepared in JPEG formats.

•    Copies of the front and address page of the passport.
•    Copy of Visa Page/ Ikkama/ Work Permit/ Residence Permit.
•    Photo and Signature of the applicant.
•    Registration fee: Rs. 315 per card.
 

Renewal of the Pravasi ID Card:
 

•    You can apply for renewal 3 months before the date of expiry if you have a valid visa.
•    Copies of prescribed documents and the renewal fee should be submitted.

The Pravasi Identity Card, issued by Norka Roots, serves as an identification document for Keralites residing or working abroad. Cardholders are entitled to insurance coverage, including Rs 4 lakh in the event of accidental death and a maximum of Rs 2 lakh for partial or permanent disability resulting from an accident.

Membership is open to all non-resident Keralites holding a valid visa. Additionally, non-resident Keralites residing outside Kerala but within India can also become members of the NRK ID card.

Pravasi Identity card is an identity card issued by Norka Roots to Keralites working or residing abroad. Cardholders are entitled to insurance coverage, including Rs 4 lakh for accidental death and a maximum of Rs 2 lakh for partial or permanent disability resulting from an accident. The Pravasi Raksha Insurance policy primarily encompasses coverage for 13 critical illnesses and offers a personal accident insurance benefit of Rs. 2 lakh.
* Are Pravasi ID card holders eligible for the Pravasi Raksha Insurance Policy?

* When can I expect to receive the ID card after making the premium payment for the Pravasi ID card and NRK ID card?
You can download the ID card within 14 days of submitting your application.
* When to renew the NRI ID card?
All non-resident Keralites with a valid visa can renew their ID card every 3 years.
* How is the insurance claim sanctioned?
The company will transfer the claim amount to Norka Roots, and Norka Roots will subsequently disburse the funds to the applicant.
