Norka Roots Directors Scholarship Scheme
The Norka Roots Director's Scholarship is mainly instituted as financial aid for higher education for the children of economically backward expatriates and returnees. Currently, the scheme is applicable to the children of ECR category expatriates and those who have returned from abroad and are currently seeking work abroad. Applicants must have worked abroad for at least two years in either of these categories. The annual income of the returnees should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.
The scholarship amount is Rs. 20,000. Applicants should be admitted in the current academic year to post-graduate courses or professional degree courses with a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Applicants must be enrolled in recognized educational institutions recognized by the universities of Kerala for regular courses. The Norka Roots Director's Scholarship is a one-time eligibility scholarship.
