NORKA Subhayathra Scheme - Registration Opened

The Norka Subhayathra Scheme is designed to support individuals migrating abroad for employment by assisting with travel-related expenses and providing financial aid for skill development required to secure overseas jobs. Loans under this scheme are sanctioned through financial institutions with interest subvention.

This scheme consists of the following two sub-schemes:

1. Scheme for Foreign Employability Skilling Assistance

This sub-scheme provides loans to cover expenses related to:

• Foreign language training

• Examination fees

• Coaching and regulatory examination fees

• Living expenses such as hostel accommodation and food during the training period

2. Scheme for Foreign Employment Travel Assistance

Under this sub-scheme, loans are granted to individuals who have secured employment abroad through recruiting agencies registered on the Government of India’s e-Migrate portal. The loan covers initial overseas employment expenses, including:

• Recruitment service charges

• Visa stamping fees

• Medical checkups

• Airfare

• Vaccinations and other related costs

Loan Limit and Repayment Terms

• Loans up to a maximum of ₹2,00,000 will be provided.

• The maximum repayment period is 36 months.

• For borrowers who repay instalments promptly:

  • Norka will reimburse the entire interest for the first six months.

  • For the remaining  30 months, 4% interest will be reimbursed.
