Subhayatra Scheme
The Subhayatra Scheme aims to offer subsidized loans to individuals from Kerala pursuing higher education or employment opportunities abroad through nationalized banks and other authorized financial institutions in the State. The Pravasa Sahayi loan scheme specifically caters to skill development and foreign language training, supporting the migration of labour abroad. Additionally, loans are extended for O.E.T and I.E.L.T.S training, specifically tailored for healthcare professionals. It is essential for candidates to commence interest payments from the seventh month onwards.
Applicants are entitled to a loan amount of up to Rs 1 lakh, contingent upon the submission of an offer letter received via registered recruiting agencies. The scheme provides a 4% interest subsidy for a duration of four years. Additionally, Subhayatra Scheme offers loans to cover initial expenses associated with overseas labour migration.
